Scooter Luv, whom we all are regrettably getting to know, and eventually we will be both intrigued and disturbed by this unfortunate toe-stubbing against the curb of fate, has entertained the multitudes as a member of some very talented and popular bands....before sinking to this level. Scooter has performed with Barry’s Truckers, Backbeat X, The Surf Boys, Freckles and the Hostages, Three Chicks and a Fat Guy, and the band simply called *****. (Even if one could attempt to describe *****’s style of music, it obviously would require further description.)

Mt. Olive held auditions for a new drummer last fall. Eighteen candidates, all of whom were very talented, very well-mannered, very hygienic (except that one guy), and for the most part quite intelligent (except for those other two guys), auditioned last september at the Mt. Olive rehearsal studio. After briefly speaking with the guys in the band and completing their auditions, seventeen of these drumming candidates simply did not want the job. Therefore, by default, Scooter Luv was the best.....rather, the most gullible,.....all right, the one idiot who would accept the position. The other band members at least acknowledge that Scooter is somewhat talented, reasonably well-mannered, acceptably hygienic (at least more so than that one guy) and for the most part not too ignorant (not any worse than those other two guys). No, seriously, he showed up for the auditions (15 minutes late...so our pizza was free!) and blew everyone away. Now he truly brings something to our show that makes him an integral part of Mt. Olive....tequila.

When Scooter’s not banging his drums, he’s banging his head against the wall. Repeatedly. Incessantly. It’s the stress that can make a person do things that he doesn’t really want to do even though.......... Anyway, Scooter is currently renovating a duplex apartment, and he enjoys gaming on the Playstation and watching sports live and on television. He and his wife Susan often visit clubs and restaurants located downtown and on the east side. Scooter also is a Milwaukee Bucks season ticket holder...and he’s running for mayor next year! Here are some more goodies on the “new guy”.
